- The Higher Education Department of Punjab issued a special notice on December 30, 2023. This notice states that winter holidays in all higher education institutions, which cover universities and colleges, are extended up to Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Notification for Schools:
- The School Education Department of Punjab also released a notification. Initially, all schools were scheduled to reopen on January 2, 2024. But due to predictions of an intense cold wave in the province, the government decided to extend the winter holidays until January 9, 2024.
- It is important to note that the requirement to wear face masks inside school buildings remains in place. The Secretary of School Education has instructed all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the relevant districts to make sure these rules are followed.
